Halloween is so cute. We got lots of kids, went through nearly seven bags of candy (we of course sampled a tiny portion, just to make sure it was safe). One little boy was afraid to come up on the porch. His eyes very wide, he pointed at the orange lights I had strung up and whimpered, "Fire! Fire!" His patient and amused father assured him that they were just lights, not fire, while helpful older brother quietly informed his little brother that they're fire and he'd better watch out. The boy finally took a deep breath and rushed up the porch to receive his reward. Moral of the story: Some people will walk through fire for chocolate.
